2016-17 Season Ticket Update
The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank the hundreds of Wolves’ hockey fans that have taken advantage of ‘Early Bird Savings’ and ordered their reserved seat for all 34 home games already for next season. The Sudbury Wolves have now completed two seasons of rebuilding the team with a combination of returning veterans and young star players that are poised to lead the team back into play-off contention next season.
The Wolves are pleased to announce that season ticket sales have climbed 30% as compared to the same point last season. Sudbury Wolves hockey fans still have until April 15th to take advantage of Early Bird pricing and renewing season ticket holders can save $150 per seat — for next year’s season seat. The price for season tickets will increase by $150 per seat after April 15th, so fans are encouraged to take advantage of these significant savings. New season ticket buyers will save $100 per seat prior to the April 15th deadline.
Many returning season ticket buyers have identified the “potential and sizzle” that young returning star forward players like: Dmitry Sokolov, David Levin, Alan Lyszczarczyk, Michael Pezzetta, Ryan Valentini, Ben Garagan, Macauley Carson, Brady Pataki and others will provide to Wolves’ hockey fans next season. Sokolov, Lyszczarczyk and Levin finished among the top 20 rookie scorers in the OHL this past season. Valentini, 18, also finished in the top 20 in OHL rookie scorers, but didn’t make the list due to his age (18).
On the blueline, Arizona Coyotes’ prospect Kyle Capobianco, Zack Wilkie, Cole Mayo, Reagan O’Grady and Brandon Bastasin are all poised to return. The Wolves have three spots open for overage possibilities including: Matt Schmalz (LA Kings), Jarett Meyer (Detroit Red Wings Invite) and four-year veteran Wolves’ defenceman: Conor Cummins.
The Wolves also have some young promising prospects that saw some OHL playing time this season with the Wolves including: Shane Bulitka, Owen Lane, Jake McGrath and Conor Ali. All three players were ‘star’ players on their respective junior teams this past season. Other prospects including the Pilon twins, Drake & Darien, who play for the top-ranked Soo Thunderbirds Jr. A team in the NOJHL. The Sault Ste Marie natives are enjoying outstanding seasons as 17-year-old rookies on the T-Birds of the NOJHL this season.
To continue the “rebuild” process, the Wolves are poised to add another 15-year-old star player on April 9th when Sudbury has the 2nd-overall selection in the OHL Priority Selection. In addition, the Wolves will add yet another star player where they have the 5th-overall selection in the CHL Import Draft in June.
