Leo Serlin commits to Storm
Guelph, ON – Guelph Storm General Manager George Burnett announced today that 2022 fifth-round selection Leo Serlin has signed an OHL scholarship and development agreement with the hockey club.
The 6’0, 185 lbs forward from Toronto, Ontario was selected by the Storm 102nd overall in last year’s OHL Priority Selection.
“Leo had an excellent training camp and has shown considerable improvement in all areas of his game,” said George Burnett. “He has earned the opportunity to be a part of our program.”
In his OHL draft year, the 2006-born winger was a major contributor to the Toronto Marlies U16 AAA squad – recording 22 goals, 26 assists for 48 points in 45 games. This past season, Serlin suited up for 49 games with the OJHL’s Haliburton Huskies where he notched 10 goals and 13 assists for 29 points and 46 PIMs.
