13th Annual Speedvale Dental Mouthguard Clinic raises over $5,000 for Adopt-A-School and McFadden’s Movement
On August 24th Spyke and Storm players Braeden Bowman, Brayden Hislop, and Chandler Romeo were on hand at Speedvale Dental for the 13th Annual Mouthguard Clinic.
Speedvale Dental offered custom mouthguards featuring new digital impressions for $25.00 for all ages. The clinic raised over $5,000 for the Adopt-A-School program and McFadden’s Movement.
The Adopt-A-School program provides rewards and incentives to elementary school students throughout Wellington County for exemplary achievement in the classroom, extra-curricular activities, and volunteer work. In many cases, the Adopt-A-School program proudly gives local kids the chance to attend their first hockey game.
McFadden’s Movement, created by former Storm captain Garrett McFadden, is a nonprofit organization that strives to change, help, and develop mental health among athletes starting at the grassroots level. McFadden and MM27 have donated a total of $103,200 to mental health resources in six years, including back-to-back $20,000 donations in 2018 & 2019, a $10,000 donation in 2020, $20,000 in 2021, and a new-high $25,000 in 2022.
The Guelph Storm would like to thank Speedvale Dental and everyone who came out for making the event a success!
