Spitfires Acquire Andrew Perrott from the Owen Sound Attack in exchange for draft picks
WINDSOR, ON.
The Windsor Spitfires have acquired defenceman Andrew Perrott in exchange for draft picks OTT 2nd in 2022, HAM 3rd in 2023, WSR 3rd in 2025, WSR 6th Rd in 2024.
Perrot is a native of Columbia Station, Ohio and was drafted in round two by the London Knights in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
Perrott embarked on his OHL career with the Knights appearing in 62 games during the 2017-18 season and collected 9 points (4 goals, 5 assists). Perrott played in four playoff games in 2018 and recorded one assist. During the 2018-19 season Perrott played 22 games with the Knights before he was traded to the Owen Sound Attack. In 51 games split between the two teams Perrott recorded 15 points and 3 points through 5 playoff games. During the 2019-20 season Perrott appeared in 62 games with the Attack before the league was shut down due to COVID-19. Perrott scored four goals and collected 23 helpers for 27 points on the season. This season Perrott has been almost a point per game player on the backend. He has scored once and assisted on 21 others for 22 points in 23 games so far this season.
Bill Bowler spoke on the acquisition of Perrott.
“Perrott is a fierce competitor who will be relied upon heavily in all situations. Were hoping this addition help us win more games and in return help him get a pro contract.”
Andrew Perrott spoke on the deal.
“It feels amazing, it is a historic franchise and a lot of winning culture from prior history.” Perrott said. “I am excited to work with the coaching staff as well.”
Perrott knows a few current Spitfires before the deal was made.
“I know Dan (D’Amico) we went to rookie camp in St. Louis and I met Abraham at showcase we had in Erie.”
