RBC School Tour continues at Forest Hill Public School
Kitchener Rangers players Adam Mascherin and Connor Bunnaman visited Forest Hill Public School on Wednesday, October 5th and read to Grade 2 students.
The students were excited and eager when listening to Adam and Connor read ‘Brady Brady and the Singing Tree’, and ‘Brady Brady and the MVP’.
After reading the stories, Adam and Connor took plenty of questions from the students.
“We hope we taught the kids to work together as a team,” said Adam. “We told them it’s important to think positive and treat others nicely and not to put people down.”
“The kids reminded us how easy it is to be excited about things that make you happy,” said Connor, whose favourite subjects in school include gym because you get to be active, and science because you get to see new and creative things. “The best part of the visit was definitely making the kids laugh and smile.”
“The RBC School Tour is important to implement with local schools because it shows young kids that we [the Rangers] are people just like them, but we worked hard to get where we are so far, and so can they,” added Adam.
“We hope the kids take with them the message we gave, that it’s important to stay in school and always try your best. There are so many opportunities and lessons you can learn that will make you the best you can be,” said Connor.
