Wolves double Petes
The Sudbury Wolves doubled the Petes 8-4 on Saturday night at the PMC.
The Wolves built a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Andrey Kuchin at 5:47 and Michael Kantor at 19:35.
Alan Quine got the Petes on the board 1:18 into the second period with his first of two on the night, however the Wolves came back with four goals by Michael Sgarbossa at 8:01, Kuchin at 8:23, Josh McFadden at 9:24 and Sgarbossa shorthanded at 11:34. Andrew Yogan replied for the Petes at 13:48 and the teams went to the dressing room with the Petes trailing 6-2.
Quine scored his second of the night at 3:11 but again the Wolves came right back with a power play marker by Derek Shoenmakers at 4:59. Josh Leivo extended the Wolves lead to 8-3 at 9:30 and Dylan Fitze replied for the Petes with their 3rd power play goal of the game at 16:03 making the final 8-4 for the Wolves.
Next action for the Petes is Tuesday night when they ost the Oshawa Generals at 7:05pm.
