Tony Featherstone (1967-1969)
Tony who was born in Toronto, played two years as a Peterborough Pete before being drafted. He was selected in the 1st round, 7th overall by the Oakland Seals during the 1969 NHL draft. He played 9 games his rookie season in Oakland and a full season with the yellow and gold the year following. Tony was traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 1971 where he would report and play with their AHL affiliate in Nova Scotia for two seasons where he would appear in the Calder Cup Finals both years, winning one in 1971-72. He would then spend a full season in Minnesota with the North Stars in 1973-74 before jumping ship to the Toronto Toros of the WHA where he would play 108 games and retire from professional hockey after two seasons.
