Bill Gardner (1976-1980)
Bill played four seasons in Peterborough beginning in the 1976-1977 season. He as a member of the teams that went to 3 straight Memorial Cup Finals in the late 1970’s including being a member of the team that won in 1979. Bill had two 100 plus point seasons in 1978-1979 and 1979-1980.He was drafted 49th overall in 1979 by the Chicago Blackhawks. After one season in the AHL, Bill broke into the NHL and enjoyed 6 seasons with the Hawks before a short stint with the Hartford Whalers and a European pro career before retiring in 1993.
