The Petes Pre-Season presented by CIBC Wood Gundy Peterborough kicks off with the 2019 Pre-Season Showcase in Kitchener. The Petes will play three games in three days against the Saginaw Spirit, North Bay Battalion, and Kitchener Rangers. In game one the Petes will take on the Saginaw Spirit, a team that the Petes fell to twice in 2018-19.
Forward Dustin Hutton led all Petes in training camp with six goals and two assists in six training camp scrimmages, along with one goal in the annual Maroon and White game. Petes first round picks Mason McTavish and J.R. Avon will be making their Petes debuts this weekend.
Saginaw sophomore Cole Perfetti led the Spirit with 74 points during his 2018-19 rookie campaign. He was also a star for Canada during their silver medal run at the Hlinka Gretzky in the Czech Republic.
