Otters Schedule Released
Erie, Pennsylvania – Schedules for the 2014-2015 Ontario Hockey League season were released today, featuring the Erie Otters opening the OHL campaign on Wednesday, September 24, with a trip to Saginaw to face the Spirit.
The Otters open up the year with a three game road trip before returning to Erie for their home opener at the Erie Insurance Arena against the Sarnia Sting Saturday, October 4.
Erie’s longest homestand is a five-game stretch beginning Friday, February 6, against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and continues with games against divisional rivals London, Guelph, and a pair against Owen Sound concluding on February 14.
The Otters longest road swing is a five game trip that runs from January 23 to February 1 featuring stops in Guelph, Owen Sound, Peterborough, Kingston, and Ottawa.
This year’s schedule will have 24 sets of back-to-back games, beginning opening weekend Friday, September 25 in Windsor and the following Saturday in Plymouth. The Otters also have two sets of three-in-three nights slated for their schedule.
Other notable games include:
- Veterans Day game Tuesday, November 11, against the Mississauga Steelheads with a special start time of 5:30 p.m.
- School Day game Wednesday, November 19, against the Kitchener Rangers with a special start time of 11 a.m.
- Thanksgiving Day game Thursday, November 27, against the Mississauga Steelheads at 7 p.m.
- New Year’s Eve game Wednesday, December 31, against the Guelph Storm at 6 p.m.
