VOODOO BREWING COMPANY TO HOST “DRAFT PARTY” EVENT FOR PRIORITY SELECTION DRAFT

Erie, Pennsylvania – Draft picks and draft beers combine forces as the Erie Otters and Voodoo Brewing Company collaborate for an exciting new partnership venture between the two downtown Erie organizations. In the first facet of collaboration, Voodoo Brewing Company will be the presenting sponsor of the Erie Otters 2023 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection Draft (pres. by Real Canadian Superstore) coverage.

To kickoff the Voodoo Draft Weekend, the brewery will host an all-new event on Friday, April 21 – day one of the Draft – with the aptly-named “Voodoo Draft Party”, starting at 6:00 P.M. During this celebration of the next-generation of Otters Hockey, fans will be invited out to watch the Draft unfold live in Voodoo’s family-friendly venue while enjoying terrific food and brews. Giveaways, the chance to win prizes from Voodoo and the Otters, and a live draft show focusing on the Otters will be just parts of the night’s fun.

Shortly after the team’s final pick on Friday night, head coach Stan Butler will join fans at Voodoo for an exclusive town hall talking about the night’s picks and the future of the Otters.

Voodoo Brewing Company Chief Executive Officer Matteo Rachocki – an Erie-native – spoke about the excitement in working with the Otters.

“It means everything to be involved with the Otters, we’re so happy about the partnership. Going to games, it’s the thing that you grow up doing here. Having such a great team just a few blocks away and being able to support one another really cements that community aspect.” said Rachocki, “High tide rises all ships and it’s a great opportunity for both [organizations].”

All the fun begins on Friday, April 21 at 7:00 P.M. for day one the 2023 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection Draft – with the first three rounds taking place. Day two of the Priority Selection Draft will take place at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 22 with rounds four through 15. Erie currently has 14 picks in the 2023 Priority Selection Draft, with two on day one (1^st Round, 2^nd Round), and 12 on day two (two in 4^th [SAR], 5^th, 7^th, 8^th, 9^th, 10^th, 11^th, 12^th, 13^th, 14^th, 15^th). Draft Picks are subject to change leading up to the day of the Draft.
