Otters Captain Jack Duff Commits to Queens University Gaels
Erie Otters defenseman and captain, Jack Duff, announced this week that he has committed to the Queen’s University Gaels starting with the 2021-2022 hockey season.
“The Otters take great pride in our alumni continuing their education. We are thrilled that Jack has chosen such a prestigious institution such as Queens,” said Otters’ General Manager Dave Brown. “Jack’s leadership, skills and determination will be a huge asset to their already strong hockey program.”
The 6-foot-2 Kingston, Ontario, native recorded 49 career points with the Erie Otters over 194 regular season games. The 21-year-old was selected 57th overall in the third round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. “The coaching staff has done so many great things for me over the year and has helped me grow into the person I am today. The treatment from our owner, Jim Waters, and GM, Dave Brown, has been nothing but professional and top notch. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for me,” said Duff. “I will definitely miss playing at the EIA in front of the best and loudest fans in the league. It’s been an awesome experience and Erie will always have a special place in my heart.”
