Niagara IceDogs Sign Cole Bishop
Niagara, ON | This morning, General Manager Joey Burke announced that the Niagara IceDogs have signed Forward, Cole Bishop!
The 2005-born Franklin, TN native stands at 6’0, 185 lbs. Bishop was drafted 105th overall in the 6th round by the IceDogs in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. He won the U15 USA National Championship with Honeybaked as a teammate of current IceDog Juan Copeland. Bishop has spent his 2021-22 season playing in the USA High School League (Independence/Summit “C”), where he has 17 goals and 13 assists for 30 points in just 8 games. He is also currently playing in the U16 USA National Championship with the Florida Alliance.

“Cole is a guy who has always excelled at the top level, and has really seen his game develop over the past year. Since impressing at training camp, Cole has been very impressive on and off the ice, has grown significantly, and is garnering much attention from the NCAA and the USHL. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to add Cole officially today, and I know he has a very bright future in Niagara!”
