Ivan Galiyanov Commits to IceDogs
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are pleased to announce that 68th overall pick, Ivan Galiyanov has committed to play for the Niagara IceDogs.
Galiyanov, a 5’09 left winger from Ajax, ON spent his U16 season with the Vaughan Kings of the GTHL. In 33 games Galiyanov recored 10 goals, 19 assists for 29 points and added 5 points in 7 games at the OHL Cup where he helped lead the Kings to a finals berth. Across the whole season Galiyanov recored 49 points across 57 games.
Interim GM, Wes Consorti on the addition of Galiyanov, “We are proud to officially welcome Ivan Galiyanov to the IceDog family. Ivan possesses a very high end skill set and will be a player who will make a positive impact on the ice and in the community for the organization.”
Galiyanov will join former Vaughan Kings teammate, Artem Frolov, with the IceDogs after Frolov’s commitment on May 1st. The two played the 2022-2023 season together leading their U16 team to a historic run at the 2023 OHL Cup.
