IceDogs Take Down Generals In Preseason Action
NIAGARA, ON – The IceDogs skated to a 6-3 victory over the visiting Oshawa Generals Thursday night at the Meridian Centre.
The Generals got the scoring started through Forward Ryder McIntyre, with IceDogs Right-Winger, Zak Lavoie equally the tally shortly after. The two teams would trade goals again as the first period would end 2-2. The IceDogs would would tack on three straight goals in the second period before the Generals added a late one to push it 5-3. The final frame didn’t provide much offence as Michael Podolioukh iced the game with an empty net goal.
Marcus Vandenberg had 18 saves on 21 shots as he helped lead the IceDogs to victory.
