IceDogs Acquire Federkow and Levin From The London Knights
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have completed a trade with the London Knights, sending two draft picks in exchange for two skaters.

Federkow is familiar with the Niagara Region being a St. Catharines native and having played his minor hockey career with the Niagara North Stars. The 2003 born Defenceman was drafted 53rd overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection by the London Knights and spent his first season in the GOJHL, splitting time between the Komoka Kings and St. Thomas Stars. Federkow would not play in the 2020 season due to the ongoing pandemic, however, would then join the London Knights for the 2021-2022 season. He spent two seasons in the gold and green, playing in a total of 108 OHL games across the regular season and playoffs. The overage defenceman stands in at 5’10 and 187 lbs, having amassed 16 points and 115 penalty minutes so far in is OHL career.

Levin, a 2005 born forward from Tel Aviv, Israel is the younger brother of former OHL 1st overall pick, David Levin. Levin would play majority of his minor hockey career in Canada, playing primarily in the GTHL. He was a late pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, going in the 10th round, 180th overall to the London Knights. Spending his rookie season in the NOJHL with the Powassan Voodoos, recording 19 goals and 28 points in 26 games. Levin spent the 2022-2023 season in the GOJHL with the St. Thomas recording an impressive 42 goals and 19 assists for 61 points in only 33 games played. His 42 goals led the entire GOJHL. Levin also got the opportunity to join the Knights for eight games, alongside of representing Israel at the U20 World Junior Championship (D3). He was a driving force for Israel, recording 12 goals and 19 points in six games.
