IceDogs Team Up with Special Olympics Ontario
Niagara IceDogs, Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and Special Olympics Ontario team up to raise funds and awareness for individuals with an intellectual disability.
NIAGARA, ON – On Thursday, November 7th the Niagara IceDogs, Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) and Niagara Regional Police Services are teaming up to raise funds and awareness for 23,000 athletes living in Ontario with intellectual disabilities. Join us as we take on the Erie Otters at 7 pm. Together, we champion inclusion, acceptance and offer opportunities to many athletes in the Region and throughout the province to participate and thrive in sport.
The IceDogs game on November 7th, at 7 pm at the Meridian Centre will feature:
A Special Olympics Ontario-run kiosk so fans can learn more about Special Olympics Ontario, Public address announcements about Special Olympics Ontario, a ceremonial puck drop prior to the game, and a donation drive.
The awareness campaign is part of the ongoing commitment by the Ontario Hockey League, the Niagara IceDogs and the Niagara Regional Police Service to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Ontario.
