IceDogs Prospect, Hayden Jeffery, Named To GOJHL All-Rookie Team
NIAGARA, ON – The GOJHL has announced their all-rookie teams for the 2023-2024 season across their three conferences. IceDogs goalie prospect, Hayden Jeffery, has been named to the Golden Horseshoe Conference all-rookie team after backstopping the St. Catharines Falcons to a third place finish.
Jeffery, a 2006 born goalie from Grimsby, ON was drafted in the 2nd round, 21st overall by the IceDogs in the 2023 OHL U18 Priority Selection. He was drafted out of the Niagara North Stars U18 AAA program where he posted a 2.14 GAA in 17 appearances. Jeffery then signed with the St. Catharines Falcons for the 2023-2024 season and has been stellar in his first year of junior hockey. In 36 appearances he has posted a 2.49 GAA, .925 SV% and three shutouts to go along with a 24-9-0 record.
As a rookie the 6’1 and 168 lbs net-minder led the GOJHL in wins, while sitting 9th in GAA and 3rd in SV%. Jeffery and the Falcons head into the playoffs in search of their 3rd Sutherland Cup in franchise history.
