IceDogs Add Tanner Ryan to Roster Ahead of North Bay Game
Niagara, ON | This morning, General Manager Joey Burke announced that the Niagara IceDogs have called up Forward, Tanner Ryan.
Ryan is currently playing with IceDogs affiliate, the Welland Jr. Canadians.
The 2004-born Stouffville, ON native stands at 6’0, 181 lbs. In his 21-22 season, Ryan has been playing with the Welland Jr. Canadians in the GOJHL, tallying 7 goals and 11 assists on the season so far.
“When we affiliated with Welland in the summer we were very excited that they had added Tanner to their program knowing we could watch him close and have a chance to potentially call him up if needed.”
Said Burke,
“Welland has done a great job preparing Tanner for this moment, and he couldn’t be more deserving of this opportunity. He has consistently been a top player all year and we feel he has the tools that can translate to the OHL level. We couldn’t be happier to have Tanner make his OHL debut with us tonight!”
The IceDogs take on the North Bay Battalion tonight at the Meridian Centre at 7pm.
