Kevin He Named To NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Watch List
NHL Central Scouting has released their preliminary watch list for the 2024 NHL Draft.
Niagara IceDogs forward, Kevin He has been named to the watch list and has been given a “C” rating from NHL Central Scouting. The “C” rating indicates a fourth or fifth round pick candidate.
The 2006 born forward from Nobleton, Ontario skated in 66 games during his rookie season with the Niagara IceDogs after being drafted 25th overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. In those 66 games he recorded 21 goals, tying a franchise rookie record, and 13 assists for 34 points, which was good for 12th among all rookies. He has tallied four goals and one assist through nine games played so far this season.
The players on the preliminary list with A ratings are considered potential first-round picks. Players with B ratings are considered possible second- or third-round choices, players with C ratings are potential fourth- or fifth-round picks, and those with W ratings indicate a “watch” player for potential sixth- or seventh-round consideration, and first-time draft eligible “work in progress” players with a limited scouting history and games played.
