Niagara Falls to Ottawa
OTTAWA, ON – The IceDogs travelled up to TD Place in Ottawa for their second and last time this season. Niagara forward Alex Assadourian notched Niagara’s lone goal in the 6-1 loss.
Starting Goaltenders: Owen Flores (NIAG), Colin MacKenzie (OTT)
At just 1:21 into the first period Vinzenz Rohrer put the Ottawa 67’s on the board to open the scoring. Two minutes after the goal Nathan Ribau received a tripping call to allow Ottawa to go to the man advantage. The home team powerplay wasted no time on the powerplay to increase their lead to 2-0.
The second period would begin in a similar fashion with an early 67’s period goal to increase the IceDogs deficit. Two more goals from OA forward, Logan Morrison would mark the end of the second period with a 5-0 score. The shots read 29-11 after two periods of play.
Ottawa would open the period with a goal from Stonehouse at 1:20 into play. The sole Niagara goal came from Alex Assadourian with a point shot to beat McKenzie at 14:19 in the final period. The IceDogs would fall 6-1 to the 67’s at TD Place.
