OSHAWA, ON – The Oshawa Generals are pleased to announce that Lukas Lofquist has committed.
Lofquist, 19, skated with the Djurgardens IF J20 team last season collecting a total of 43 points (22-21-43) and 42 penalty minutes. The Stockholm, Sweden native was selected 56th overall in the 2015 CHL import draft.
“Lukas will get power play time and be able to come in here and provide offence. He is very comparable to Tobias Lindberg”. “I am excited to have him a part of the 2015/2016 Oshawa Generals”.
Lofquist is a 6’2”, 192 lbs forward who has represented Sweden internationally on the Swedish Under 16 team. Alongside Djurgardens IF J20, He also played two games on loan with Vasby IK of Sweden’s Division 1 league, netting one goal and four penalty minutes.
