Oshawa 2, Ottawa 4
1st Period.
The first period started off slow, both teams took a little bit to warm up to the ice. As the first shot wasn’t registered until five mineuts into the period. Unfortunately for Oshawa, Tyanulin scored eight minuets into the first assisted by Todd and Konecny.
The first finished out fairly uneventful, there wasn’t even a single penalty called. The shots were nine, six for Ottawa.
2nd Period
Both teams really started to pick up the play in the second. The shot count went twelve to eleven for Ottawa by the end of period. Six minuets into the period and Ottawa struck on a power play, Addison put one home off a rebound a save by Devine. Forty-five seconds later Tyanulin scored his second of the night off a give-away in front of the net.
All of a sudden it was three to nothing but the Generals kept pushing and on a four on three power play Desrocher put a wrester past Herbst. Oshawa was right back into it. The period would end with the Generals killing off fourth penalty of the game.
3rd Period
Oshawa really started to push early in third and got a few power plays to push the attack. Ottawa stayed strong and killed off the penalties. Jumping on their opportunities Sam Studnicka scored on the power play with 10:19 left in the period. Ottawa had taken a 4-1 lead.
With only three minuets left Owen McDade scored from Robertson to bring the Generals back with in two. Thirty seconds later Devine was puled and the generals pushed for the equalizer. Herbst and the Ottawa 67’s were up to the task and held on to win the game.
Oshawa will play the Guelph Storm on Thanksgiving Monday at 2:05 pm in Oshawa. Remember to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Feed the Need Durham region.
