Round 1 Game 5: Generals fall to Colts in last minutes of regulation
Oshawa, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals were shutout as they dropped game five to the Barrie Colts 3-0.
Jacob Oster was in the net once again stopping 21 of the 22 shots he faced and Oshawa is possibly going to be down a man moving forward as Beckett Sennecke was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for a check to the head.
With four and a half minutes to go in the game, Barrie would break the deadlock when Bode Stewart found Kashawn Aitcheson on the back door tapping it in making it 1-0 Colts late.
Following with 45 seconds until the buzzer, the puck was chipped down the ice, and Zach Wigle skated onto the puck before finding the empty net.
Barrie would find the empty net one more time as Cole Beaudoin got the puck in the slot and fired it into the net, making it 3-0.
Game Seven will be in Oshawa on Tuesday, April 9th if necessary, tickets can be purchased at the ticket office.
