Round 1 Game 1: Generals host Colts to open 2024 Playoff campaign
Oshawa, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals open their first-round playoff series as they take on Barrie Colts.
The Gens are riding a 12-game win streak having taken down the Sudbury Wolves in the last game of the regular season to clinch first place in the Eastern Conference.
Barrie enters this one as the eighth-place seed finishing with 60 points, 12 points clear of the Peterborough Petes. The Colts are not playing their best hockey going 3-7-0-0 over their last 10 games.
Last Meeting
The last time that these two teams met it was the Generals took down the Barrie Colts 5-1 as they pushed their win streak to seven games.
Early in the first period, the Gens broke the deadlock as it was Luke Torrance finding the back of the net. Oshawa would strike twice in the second as Calum Ritchie and Dylan Roobroeck each scored.
After the Barrie Colts got one back to start the third the Gens would add two more with goals from Stuart Rolofs and Rasmus Kumpulainen.

Beau Jelsma: The Barrie Colts newest captain had his best season in the OHL putting up a career-best in points with 81, goals with 37, and assists with 44.
