Oshawa Generals mourn the loss of Daniel Nicholson
The Oshawa Generals are saddened by the news of the loss of Generals defenceman Dan Nicholson, who passed away at the age of 59.
A native of Oshawa, Ont., Nicholson played parts of three OHL seasons from 1980-83, recording 10 goals, 45 assists and 55 points over 131 regular season games. He helped the Generals win their 11th OHL Championship, scoring three goals and eight assists in 16 games on his way to the Memorial Cup championship in Portland. Nicholson and the Generals would make it to the championship game before they fell to the host Portland Winter Hawks.
Nicholson is will be remembered and missed by his nieces and their families, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
