Generals and Wolves clash for the second time this season
Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals are wrapping up their three-game road trip tonight when they face off with the Sudbury Wolves for the first time since November 26, when the Generals hosted their Annual Teddy Toss game and came short 7-5 to the Wolves. Tonight, they approach the den looking to secure two more road points after outdoing the Soo Greyhounds last night 4-3.
The Generals are holding 71 points and are seventh in the overall OHL standings with a clinched spot in the 2024 Playoffs. The Wolves sit at 74 points, fifth overall, with a comfortable spot in the Playoffs. Tonight the two teams will be bringing the heat as they play to determine their future playoff schedules.
The last meeting between Oshawa and Sudbury was back in November, when the Wolves gave the Generals a run for their money, outshooting 36-21 and outscoring 7-5. Third-period goals from Stuart Rolofs, Calum Ritchie, and Dylan Roobroeck were not enough to get the win as their losing streak at the time was extended to four games. In the dying seconds of the game, it was David Goyette finding himself on the net with Roobroeck as the only thing in the way but they found a way through and put the game to rest. Tonight will be the Gens chance at redemption and continue the momentum from this past week.
You can watch tonight’s game on Rogers TV, CHL TV, or listen live on Oshawa Generals Radio at http://bit.ly/3NVyu5z. Puck drop is 7:05 p.m.
