Generals win streak continues after overtime victory in Mississauga
Mississauga, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals beat the Mississauga Steelheads 2-1 in overtime for their eighth straight win.
Goals from Luca Marrelli and the reigning player of the week Dylan Roobroeck propelled them to victory while Jacob Oster stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced.
The Steelheads were opening the scoring this one as Marc Boudreau got the puck to Chas Sharpe who beat Oster to give Mississauga a 1-0 lead.
It took until the third period for the Gens to respond but after Rasmus Kumpulainen’s shot was stopped Roobroeck was there to tie the game at 1-1.
The game went to overtime where it was Marrelli finding the back of the net ending the game and sending the Mississauga crowd home.
