Phillip Barski Promoted to Associate Coach
The Barrie Colts have announced that Phillip Barski has been promoted to Associate Coach.
Before joining the Colts, Barski, 44, spent five seasons coaching professional hockey both in the ECHL and Europe, winning the ICEHL Championship in the 2017-18 season.
“Phillip was a big part of the success we had last season,” Commented Head Coach & GM Marty Williamson. “This newly made position will allow him to help me with all aspects of our coaching needs.” Added Williamson.
Last season with the Colts, Barski oversaw the 5-on-5 pre-scouts, and the powerplay, and coached the defensemen. Barski holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Education in Coaching Studies from the University of Victoria. He currently resides in Innisfil, Ontario.
