Connor Punnett Named 24th Captain in Colts History!
The Barrie Colts are proud to announce that Connor Punnett has been named the 24th Captain in the team’s history.
Punnett, the overage defenceman, has played 156 games in a Colts uniform and was acquired from the Saginaw Spirit via trade (01/10/2020). Punnett is entering this coming season after registering a career-high 48 Points (14 Goals, 34 Assists) last season and recently participated in the Detroit Red Wings Rookie Camp.
“Connor is a player that has taken massive strides in his games since we traded for him. To go along with the character, he has shown strong leadership capabilities on and off the ice. He was the obvious choice to lead our group this season and we couldn’t be more proud of him” Added Head Coach & GM, Marty Williamson.
Congratulations, Connor!
