Colts Sign Prospect Matteo Caruso

The Barrie Colts are happy to announce the signing of 2021 sixth-round selection, Matteo Caruso.

The 6-4 179lb goaltender from Burlington, ON was drafted by the Colts 111th overall in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection Draft.

Caruso played for the Burlington Eagles U16 program in the SCTA but saw limited game action due to the cancellation of the minor hockey season.

“Matteo came to camp and impressed everyone on our staff throughout our scrimmages. We believe with Matteo that we have our goalie for the future and Colts fans should be excited. He’s a big body and with a little more development with our Director of Goaltending, David Belitski, we are excited about his upside” commented Marty Williamson, Head Coach & GM.
