Barrie Colts Foundation Supports Red Cross Ukraine Relief Fund
Prior to puck drop for the opening home playoff game at Sadlon Arena, a special presentation was held for donations to the Red Cross Ukraine Relief Fund.
Current Barrie Colt and Vegas Golden Knights prospect, and only Ukraine-born player in the OHL, Artur Cholach, was on hand to accept the donations. Artur’s family is currently in Ukraine. Dave Carr, chair of Guys That Give, presented a cheque for $10,000 while the Barrie Colts Foundation and Brentwood Marina Owner, Mike Tanti joined together to donate $10,000. All the proceeds from the Barrie Colts Foundation 50/50 raffle from last night’s game were also donated to bring the total donation to $23,970.
