BULLDOGS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN EXPLOSIVE 10-4 WIN AGAINST FRONTENACS

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. The Brantford Bulldogs put on an offensive showcase, defeating the Kingston Frontenacs 10-4 in Game 2 of the first official theme weekend “Buckle Up Country Weekend” sponsored by Bud Light. 

The Bulldogs wasted no time to assert dominance in the Mad House, exploding for 5 goals in the opening period alone, and never looking back. Two goals to start, two power-play strikes in the middle of the period to extend the lead, and a last power-play shot for Jeremy Freeman (#8) to cap off the fifth goal. Kingston would gain a goal shortly before the end of the first period, scored by Ty Robar (#28), assisted by Roman Vanacker (#71) and Adam Kelly (#47), however with Brantford’s 4-goal lead to Kingston’s 1, it firmly put the Bulldogs in command heading into the second period.

Kingston tried to claw its way back with the start of the second, striking twice to make things interesting. First, at 8:38 by Alex McLean (#9), assisted by Vann Williamson (#27) and Matthew Henderson (#77) and second, at 12:06 by Adam Goljer (#8), assisted by Robin Kuzma (#91) and Alex McLean (#9). Brantford still kept within the fight, scoring once at 16:13 by Cullen McCrate (#53), assisted by David Buchman (#71) and Aiden Kelly (#66). Brantford would end the second period well insulated, leading with a 6-3 advantage over Kingston. 

The Bulldogs made sure to have the first, and last word in the third, bookending the period to seal an already dominant performance. For the singular goal Kingston found at 8:58 scored by Nolan Buttar (#22), assisted by Aleks Kulemin (#41) and Landon Wright (#36), Brantford responded with four.

Finishing off another undefeated weekend at TD Civic Centre, the Brantford Bulldogs travel to Tribute Communities Centre to face off against the Oshawa Generals tomorrow evening at 6:05pm.
