BULLDOGS FALL TO STORM
Givani Smith scored a pair of goals to give the Guelph Storm a 3-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs at the Sleeman Centre.
Smith scored on the power play at 16:44 in the first to give the Storm a 1-0 lead. Assists went to Garrett McFadden and James McEwan. Smith would add his second of the game just 51 seconds into the next period to put Guelph up 2-0 with helpers from McEwan and Isaac Ratcliffe. Luke Kutkevicius would solve Guelph’s starting netminder Liam Herbst at 14:39 to cut the lead in half. Guelph made it 3-1 at 9:49 in the third with a goal from Austin Hall. Assists on the play were credited to Luke Burghardt and Kyle West.
Fulcher made 37 saves on 40 shots for the loss, while Herbst made 24 saves on 25 shots for the win.
