NURSE, JACKSON AND MCCOURT COMMIT TO BULLDOGS
HAMILTON, ONTARIO – Hamilton Bulldogs President and General Manager Steve Staios announced today that the club has signed forwards Isaac Nurse, Zachary Jackson and defenceman Riley McCourt to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Nurse, 17, was selected in the 11th round (208th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound forward spent last season with the Brantford Jr. B 99ers. In 49 games, the Hamilton, Ont native recorded 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists).
Jackson, 17, was selected in the 4th round (76th overall) in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-3, 189-pound forward split last season between the Ancaster Avalanche (GOJHL) and Upper Canada College. In 14 games with the Avalanche, Jackson recorded 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists). In 24 games with Upper Canada College he recorded 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists).
McCourt, 16, was selected in the 3rd round (45th overall) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound defenceman spent last season with the Niagara North Stars Minor Midget AAA team. In 33 games with the North Stars, McCourt recorded 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists). McCourt also spent time with Ridley College and the St. Catharines Falcons (GOJHL).

On Saturday, September 3rd, the Bulldogs will take on the Guelph Storm, presented by the Hamilton Huskies. On Sunday, September 11th, the ‘Dogs will host the Erie Otters, presented by the Stoney Creek Minor Hockey Association. Tickets for both games are available through the presenting minor hockey associations and through the Bulldogs office.
Hamilton will open its second season in the Ontario Hockey League Friday, September 23 when they visit the Mississauga Steelheads. The Bulldogs’ home opener is slated for Saturday, September 24 as Hamilton takes on the Kingston Frontenacs at FirstOntario Centre.
