BULLDOGS ACQUIRE DEFENSEMAN KADEN ROLLING FROM SPITFIRES
BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. Brantford Bulldogs President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Spencer Hyman today announced the acquisition defenseman Kaden Rolling from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a pair of Priority Selections; ER 4th ’28 & BFD 7th ’28.
Rolling, of Barrie, ON, was originally in the 6th round, 113th overall by the Spitfires in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft out of the Barrie Colts U16 AAA program. Standing out in his draft season for both his steady, physical defensive game and abiity to quickly transition the puck from his own zone to create offense, Rolling earned his first call-up to the junior A level with the Collingwood Blues as a 15-year old recording an assist in three games. Rolling moved to the GTHL for the 2025-26 season with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens posting 5 goals & 24 assists for 29 points in 49 games, adding another goal and three assists for 4 points in 7 GTHL playoff games. Rolling’s work with the Jr. Canadiens earned the 6’0”/198lbs right shot rearguard another stint with the Collingwood Blues, skating in 5 games with his OJHL side.
Beginning the 2026-27 season with the Blues, Rolling has transitioned seamlessly to being a full-time player at the next level. After recording 3 points in his first three games of the season, Rolling missed time with an injury but returned in mid-October with an assist in his return and began the month of November adding another bringing his total to a goal & 4 assists for 5 points in 11 games at the time of his acquisition.
“We loved Kaden throughout the draft process, and we’re thrilled to add him to the Bulldogs.” said Hyman. “He’s a fearless competitor who blocks shots as well as anyone and does whatever it takes to help his team win. He played through injuries at the OHL Cup, which tells you a lot about his toughness and commitment to his teammates. Above all, Kaden is a young man of the highest character. His compete, courage and team-first mentality are exactly what we want in a Bulldog.”.
Rolling will remain with the Collingwood Blues and be available to the Bulldogs as an AP for the remainder of the season, with Hyman continuing; “We have a great relationship with Collingwood in the OJHL and believe in his development path this year. Kaden will join us full time in the 27-28 season.”.
