Goaltender Daren Machesney heads three members of the Battalion in the midterm rankings of North American-based players compiled by the National Hockey League’s Central Scouting Bureau for the next NHL Entry Draft.rrMachesney is No. 3 among goaltenders, behind top-rated Carey Price of the Western Hockey League’s Tri-City Americans and second-ranked Alexandre Vincent of the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, in the rankings released Friday.rrCentre Howie Martin is rated No. 170 among skaters, and defenceman Phil Oreskovic is at No. 183.rrMachesney was the top-rated goaltender in the Ontario Hockey League in the preliminary rankings released in November.
