Jason Day joined the Battalion’s scouting staff in 2004 as an area scout focusing on southwestern Ontario and Michigan.

A former area scout for the Windsor Spitfires, Day played for the junior B Chatham Maroons and Windsor Bulldogs before moving on  to play four years with the University of Windsor.

Day coached bantam AAA teams for Windsor and Sun County before spending three years as an assistant coach with the junior B Tecumseh Chiefs.

Day, who lives in Windsor with his wife and children, works for the government of Canada. Day’s younger brother Greg has spent a number of years playing professionally in Europe.
