Battalion named to CHL Top Ten
BRAMPTON, Ont. – The Battalion is ranked 10th among Canadian Hockey League teams as the CHL released its first Top Ten list of the season Tuesday.
The Battalion is one of three Ontario Hockey League teams in the top 10, behind the Sarnia Sting at No. 3 and Erie Otters at No. 6. The Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League, the defending Memorial Cup champion, is ranked first.
The Troops have returned to the CHL Top Ten for the first time since October, 1999, when during an 11-1-2 run at the start of the season they were ranked as high as third.
