BRIAN BARKER (Saint Mary´s University Huskies – AUS)

Barker, who starred for the Barrie Colts before joining the inaugural Battalion squad as an overager, is pointless in two games with the Huskies this season. Barker, who scored 21 points last year, is in his third season at Saint Mary´s.

JEFF BATEMAN (Fort Worth Brahmas – CHL)

r
Bateman notched his first professional goal last Friday during the Brahmas´ 3-2 win over the Corpus Christi IceRays and he followed that up with another goal during a 5-2 loss to San Antonio on Saturday. Bateman is tied for second in team scoring with four points in six games. Fort Worth is in third place in the CHL´s Northeast Division with a 3-2-1 record.

BRIAN FINLEY (Nashville Predators organization)

Finley, Nashville´s first round draft pick in 1999, is still recovering from off-season groin surgery. Mitch Korn, the Predators goaltending coach, told the Nashville Tennessean that he hopes Finley will be back on the ice in December.

LUKAS HAVEL (HC Chemopetrol Litvinov – Czech Republic)

Havel has spent time with both the junior and senior Litvinov squads this season. He has played 14 games with the senior team, notching a pair of assists and 14 penalty minutes. Havel played eight games with the Litvinov juniors, scoring six goals, adding five assists and collecting 41 penalty minutes.

RICHARD KEARNS (York University Yeomen – OUA)

Kearns, who is studying Business Administration, is in his second season with the Yeomen. He has scored three goals and added three assists in six games this year. The Yeomen lead the MidWest division with a 5-1 record and are currently ranked third in Canada.

ROSTISLAV KLESLA (Columbus Blue Jackets – NHL)

Klesla, the Battalion´s all-time scoring leader among defencemen, has scored two goals and added a pair of assists in 14 games with the Blue Jackets this season. Klesla, who is averaging just over 18 minutes a game, scored the tying goal in Columbus´s 3-3 opening-night draw with St. Louis on Oct. 4, and beat countryman Dominik Hasek for his second goal of the year against Detroit on Oct. 16. Klesla is currently ranked 10th in NHL rookie scoring.

JASON MALEYKO (Saint Mary´s University Huskies – AUS)

Maleyko has two goals and three assists in five games in his first season with the Huskies. Maleyko´s first goal this season was an overtime winner against St. Thomas on Oct. 26 and he also collected a pair of assists in a 10-2 rout of the UPEI Panthers on Oct. 20. Saint Mary´s is currently tied for third place with a 3-1-3 record.

BLAIR McLAUGHLIN (York University Yeomen – OUA)

Forward Blair McLaughlin, who is majoring in Geography, has tallied one goal in four games with the Yeomen this year.

CAM McLAUGHLIN (York University Yeomen – OUA)

Blair´s twin brother Cam has notched a pair of assists in six games with York this season. He is majoring in Accounting.

MATT REYNOLDS (York University Yeomen – OUA)

Reynolds has scored two goals and two assists in six games in his second year with the Yeomen. Reynolds, who is studying Geography, scored both of his goals in York´s 7-2 season-opening win over the Ryerson Rams.

SCOTT THOMPSON (Brock University Badgers – OUA)

Thompson is in his first year with the Badgers and he is second in team scoring with four goals and three assists in six games. Thompson scored a pair of goals in a 5-5 tie with Queens on Oct. 27 and assisted on all three Brock goals in a 3-1 win over Windsor on Nov. 3. The Badgers are in third place in the OUA´s Mid West Division with a 1-4-1 record.

RAFFI TORRES (Bridgeport Sound Tigers – AHL)

Torres, the Battalion´s all-time scoring leader, notched his first professional points on Oct. 10, when he recorded three assists in Bridgeport´s 6-2 win over Hartford. Torres scored his first goal on Oct. 19 in a 5-2 loss to the Manchester Monarchs. Torres is tied for third in team scoring with four goals and three assists in 12 games. The Sound Tigers lead the AHL´s East Division with a 5-3-4 record.
