The Ontario Hockey League club’s camp features registration, medicals, fitness testing and a practice for each of the Team Green and Team White rosters on the first day.
Intrasquad games at Memorial Gardens are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, with a final game at 9 a.m. Sunday. Admission to the games is free.
The proceedings will be overseen by the Battalion managerial and coaching staff, including Adam Dennis, director of hockey operations, general manager John Winstanley, head coach Ryan Oulahen and assistants Bill Houlder, Matt Marquardt and Nate McDonald.
Among the veterans in attendance will be centres Dalyn Wakely and Ethan Procyszyn, left wingers Owen Van Steensel and Andrew LeBlanc, right winger Anthony Romani, defenceman Jacob LeBlanc and Mike McIvor, who’s the senior goaltender now that Dom DiVincentiis, who would be an overager in 2024-25, has graduated to the professional ranks with the National Hockey League’s Winnipeg Jets organization.
The camp is to feature five overage candidates, in Wakely, Van Steensel, the LeBlanc twins and left winger Brice Cooke. Teams may dress a maximum of three overagers, defined as those turning 20 in the year the season starts.
