First-round schedule released
NORTH BAY, Ont. – The North Bay Battalion will open its best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Kingston Frontenacs on the road at 7 p.m. Friday, the Ontario Hockey League club announced Sunday.
The Battalion finished third in the Central Division and sixth in the conference, while Kingston was second in the East Division and third in the conference.
The clubs meet in the playoffs for the third time, with the Battalion, then based in Brampton, having won a 2010 conference quarterfinal in seven games and, as North Bay, a 2015 conference quarterfinal in four games.

Friday, March 23, at Kingston 7 p.m.
Sunday, March 25, at Kingston 6 p.m.
Tuesday, March 27, at North Bay (in Sudbury) 7 p.m.
Thursday, March 29, at North Bay 7 p.m.
