Community TV schedule released

BRAMPTON, Ont. – A total of 60 Brampton Battalion games will be shown on Rogers Community Television this season, the Ontario Hockey League club announced Monday.

Rogers will televise all 34 Battalion home games, starting with the season opener against the Ottawa 67’s on Friday night. The schedule includes 26 road games, with only visits to the Erie Otters, Plymouth Whalers, Saginaw Spirit, Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Sudbury Wolves unavailable.

Rogers also will show 15 Battalion games as part of its one-hour OHL Prime Time Classics series airing at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sundays. The series, which debuted Sept. 9 with a playoff game between the Troops and Wolves from March 27, 2005, features seven playoff games and three games from the Battalion’s inaugural season of 1998-99.
