Voltigeurs acquire goaltender Cousineau
BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, January 7, 2009 After trading defenseman Maxime Ouimet this morning, the Baie-Comeau Drakkar made waves once again today, sending goaltender Marco Cousineau (89-11-09) to the Drummondville Voltigeurs for Nathan Dunnett (90-06-12), a seventh round pick in 2009 (via Rouyn-Noranda) and a third round selection in 2010.
Cousineau, a third round pick (83rd overall) by the Anaheim Ducks in last year’s NHL Entry Draft, has posted nine wins to go along with a 3.67 goals-against-average and .888 save percentage so far this season.
In another trade, the Sea Dogs sent Kevin Guérette-Charland (89-05-10) to the Foreurs for a third round pick in 2009 (via Halifax).
Of note, the trade period ends tomorrow at noon.
