Voltigeurs’ Dawson Mercer drawing hockey world’s attention

Dawson Mercer was born in Bay Roberts, NL – a town populated by less than 7000 people – just over 18 years ago. Since then, he’s worked towards reaching one precise goal of his : becoming the next Newfoundlander to play in the NHL. The forward has been on such a tear to open the season with the Drummondville Voltigeurs that he’s now projected as a first round pick for the upcoming 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

Mercer seems to be inching closer to his goal by the day.
