Cataractes’ Robidoux suspended ten games
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced today that Shawinigan Cataractes forward, Mikaël Robidoux, has been suspended for ten (10) games for boarding.
The rationale
After covering a good distance, the Shawinigan player (#10 – Mikaël Robidoux) was on the forecheck and had his opponent’s back (#32 – Antoine Leblanc) in sight.
The player at fault did not make the necessary efforts to minimize the force of the impact on physical contact. The Rimouski player was dangerously thrown into the boards.
Therefore, considering the action but also that the player is a repeat offender, the QMJHL Department of Player Safety imposed a 10-game suspension to #10 Mikael Robidoux of the Shawinigan Cataractes
