2025-26 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 20
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 20 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
Everett holds No. 1 for a second straight week (fourth time atop the list) behind a CHL-leading 41 wins and a .850 points percentage, coming off home victories over Kamloops and Victoria powered by Carter Bear (11 points in his last four games) and Matias Vanhanen, who combined on Bear’s second hat trick of the season. At No. 2 for the third time in four weeks, Prince Albert remains relentless at 22-3-1-0 in its last 26 games — already the first WHL club to clinch a playoff spot — with Braeden Cootes posting seven points in three games to cap a strong week. And climbing to a season-best No. 3, Moncton outscored opponents 15-6 in a pair of road wins while locking in its postseason berth, continuing a dominant run since early November (31-4-0-1) fueled by Caleb Desnoyers and Teddy Mutryn, who each produced six points in two outings.
Just behind that top tier, three clubs are trending sharply upward, led by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, Ottawa 67’s, and Barrie Colts. Chicoutimi moved up to No. 4 after a flawless 2-0 week highlighted by a statement road win that snapped the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada’s surge, with Ottawa Senators prospect Lucas Beckman shining early in his tenure as the Saguenéens keep pressure on the QMJHL leaders. Ottawa vaulted two spots back to No. 6 with a perfect week that included a 5-1 win over the Brantford Bulldogs and a one-goal decision over the Owen Sound Attack on a milestone day for head coach Dave Cameron, while Ryder Fetterolf continued to anchor the league’s stingiest goaltending numbers as the 67’s sit in striking distance atop the Ontario Hockey League. Meanwhile, Barrie climbed to a season-best No. 7 on the strength of five straight wins and a CHL-best 16-1-1-0 post-holiday surge, driven in part by trade-deadline addition Ben Willmott — and now the Colts get a measuring-stick opportunity with a head-to-head visit to Ottawa over the long weekend.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 20
1. Everett Silvertips (WHL): Riding a nine-game winning streak, the Everett Silvertips (41-6-2-1) hold the No. 1 spot for a second straight week — marking the fourth time this season they’ve sat atop the rankings — as they continue to lead the CHL with 41 wins and a .850 points percentage. Over the last week, Everett earned a pair of home victories, doubling up the Kamloops Blazers 6-3 before beating the Victoria Royals 4-2 the following night in Everett. The connection between Detroit Red Wings prospect Carter Bear (23G-26G in 36 GP) and 2026 NHL Draft prospect Matias Vanhanen (13G-49A in 44 GP) was especially potent against Kamloops, as Bear potted his second hat trick of the season with Vanhanen collecting the primary assist on all three tallies. Bear added an assist versus Victoria and has stayed scorching hot with 11 points (5G-6A) in his last four outings, while Vanhanen has pushed his point streak to four games, totaling nine points (3G-6A) over that stretch. The Silvertips now launch a busy run of five games over the next week, beginning tonight as they open their Alberta road trip in Red Deer before continuing on to face the Edmonton Oil Kings, Lethbridge Hurricanes, No. 8-ranked Medicine Hat Tigers, and the Calgary Hitmen.
2. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): Despite opening the week with a hard-fought 5-4 overtime loss to the Calgary Hitmen, the Prince Albert Raiders (39-7-5-0) bounced back with a pair of convincing wins to hold onto No. 2 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings — the third time in four weeks they’ve occupied the spot. And even in defeat last Wednesday, the single point earned made Prince Albert the first WHL club to clinch a playoff berth, underscoring a run that has seen the Raiders post an eye-popping 22-3-1-0 record over their last 26 games. Sitting at 39 wins, they look poised to become the second WHL (and CHL) team to hit 40 victories in 2025-26, powered in part by Vancouver Canucks prospect Braeden Cootes (18G-27A in 32 GP), who delivered his best week since arriving in early January — leading all Raiders skaters with seven points (3G-4A) across three games, extending his goal streak to four straight, and recording five multi-point outings in his last eight appearances. Prince Albert now begins a busy week at home tonight against the Pats, visits Brandon on Friday, then returns to the Art Hauser Centre to close out the week with matchups versus the Saskatoon Blades and Moose Jaw Warriors.
3. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): The defending Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League champions are peaking at the right time, as the Moncton Wildcats (37-8-2-1) extended their winning streak to nine and climbed to a season-best No. 3 in this week’s Canadian Hockey League Top-10 Rankings — the fifth time in six weeks they’ve moved up the list. Moncton outscored opponents 15-6 on the road, with a 5-2 win in Saint John and a 10-4 victory in Charlottetown, and clinched a berth in the 2026 playoffs as they chase a repeat title. Since early November, the Wildcats have been dominant, improving to 31-4-0-1 over their last 36 games (.861), a surge that has them atop the QMJHL standings, four points clear of the No. 4-ranked Chicoutimi Saguenéens (with one extra game played). Utah Mammoth prospect Caleb Desnoyers (12G-34A in 29 GP) and San Jose Sharks prospect Teddy Mutryn (24G-30 in 44 GP) paced the charge with six points each in two games, with Mutryn riding a three-game run (7 points) and Desnoyers stretching his point streak to eight games (17 points). Next up, Moncton looks to push the streak to double digits with a trip to face the Halifax Mooseheads on Friday before returning home for long-weekend dates against the Shawinigan Cataractes and Halifax.
Games this week: @ Halifax (Feb. 9), vs. Shawinigan (Feb. 15), vs. Halifax (Feb. 16)
4. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): After posting a perfect 2-0-0-0 week, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens (34-8-3-2) climbed one spot to No. 4 in this week’s Canadian Hockey League Top-10 Rankings, marking a ninth straight week entrenched among the CHL’s top five. Chicoutimi opened with a statement 4-2 road win over the surging Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, snapping the Armada’s nine-game winning streak and 10-game point streak — and handing them their lone regulation loss in the last 12 games — before following up with a 5-2 victory over the Gatineau Olympiques in Gatineau to keep pace in the QMJHL standings with the No. 3-ranked Moncton Wildcats, who lead by four points. In the win at Blainville-Boisbriand, Ottawa Senators prospect Lucas Beckman starred by stopping 35 of 37 shots to earn his second win in three starts with his new club, while 19-year-old Christophe Berthelot (13G-12A in 47 GP) led the offence with three points (2G-1A) and goals in back-to-back games. Meanwhile, Anaheim Ducks prospect Maxim Massé (36G-29A in 46 GP) notched his 36th goal of the season, moving into a tie for second in CHL goal scoring, behind only Justin Carbonneau. The Saguenéens now turn the page to a busy week featuring a home-and-home with Baie-Comeau Drakkar before a road visit to take on the Rimouski Océanic.
Games this week: @ Baie-Comeau (Feb. 11), vs. Baie-Comeau (Feb. 3), @ Rimouski
5. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): After dropping back-to-back games for just the third time this season, the Brantford Bulldogs (35-8-6-2) slid a couple of spots to No. 5 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings — though their consistency has remained a hallmark, having never ranked lower than fifth in 2025-26. Brantford still picked up three of a possible six points and is one of six OHL clubs to clinch a playoff berth, but the week began with a 2-1 overtime loss at home to the Kingston Frontenacs before a 5-1 setback against the No. 6-ranked Ottawa 67’s, who sit one point back of the Bulldogs for first in the OHL’s Eastern Conference with a game in hand. The Bulldogs answered on Sunday at Slush Puppie Place, defeating Kingston 5-2 to close the weekend on a high note, highlighted by 2026 NHL Draft prospect Caleb Malhotra (23G-41A in 50 GP) rebounding with an assist after being held off the scoresheet in the opener — giving him points in six of his last eight outings. Seattle Kraken prospect Jake O’Brien (19G-43Ain 37 GP) and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jett Luchanko (6G-26A in 30 GP) snapped scoreless streaks with multi-point performances in the win, as Brantford now turns to a busy slate that includes home dates with the Erie Otters and Guelph Storm at the TD Civic Centre before another meeting with Kingston — their third matchup in two weeks.
6. Ottawa 67’s (OHL): A perfect 2-0-0-0 week — highlighted by a commanding 5-1 win over the No. 5-ranked Brantford Bulldogs — propelled the Ottawa 67’s (37-10-1-2) up two spots to No. 6 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after a brief one-week dip to eighth. Ottawa followed that statement victory by edging the Owen Sound Attack 5-4 at home, a day that also saw head coach Dave Cameron reach the 1,000-game milestone as an OHL bench boss — becoming the eighth coach in OHL history to hit the mark — as the 67’s became one of six OHL teams to clinch a playoff berth over the last week. Ottawa continues to set the pace atop the OHL with 37 wins and a .770 points percentage, while sitting just one point back of Brantford for first in the Eastern Conference with a game in hand. Between the pipes, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Ryder Fetterolf stole the show against the Bulldogs by stopping 32 of 33 shots to earn first-star honours, improving to 24-4-1-1 with six straight wins and leading all CHL/OHL qualified goaltenders with a 1.90 goals-against average (the only sub-2.00 mark), a .928 save percentage, and four shutouts — one shy of the CHL lead. The 67’s now host the Oshawa Generals at TD Place Arena before visiting the Peterborough Petes, then return home for long-weekend matchups against the No. 10-ranked Kitchener Rangers and No. 7-ranked Barrie Colts.
7. Barrie Colts (OHL): Fuelled by three straight weekend wins to extend their streak to five in a row, the Barrie Colts (35-11-2-4) have climbed again — moving up for the third time in four weeks — to a season-best No. 7 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. Barrie went 3-for-3 on the week with road victories over the Brampton Steelheads (4-1) and North Bay Battalion (7-4), sandwiching in a 3-2 shootout win over North Bay at Sadlon Arena, and those results keep rolling a post-holiday surge that has seen the Colts go a CHL-best 16-1-1-0 over their last 18 games. The Colts have vaulted to the top of the OHL Eastern Conference and sit within two points of the first-place Brantford Bulldogs, powered in part by 19-year-old forward Ben Willmott (24G-31A in 51 GP), who was named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week after piling up seven points (5G-2A) and a shootout winner across three victories. Since arriving from the London Knights, the 2026 NHL Draft prospect has been one of the deadline’s most impactful additions with 21 points (12G-9A) in 14 games, riding a five-game goal and point streak that has produced seven goals and 11 points. Barrie will look to keep climbing this week when it hosts the Kingston Frontenacs before travelling to Ottawa for a showdown with the No. 6-ranked Ottawa 67’s.
8. Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL): After earning four of a possible six points last week, the Medicine Hat Tigers (36-9-3-3) slipped two spots to No. 8 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings, despite continuing to stack results at an elite pace. The Tigers opened the week with a 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings — just their third regulation defeat since November 8 — before responding with back-to-back wins over Swift Current, edging the Broncos 2-1 on the road and then roaring back with an 8-1 victory. Since November 8, Medicine Hat has gone an impressive 26-3-2-1 over its last 32 games, with defenceman Jonas Woo (25G-41A in 43 GP) once again driving the offence after leading the club with five points (1G-4A) in three outings; his 66 points pace all WHL/CHL blueliners, sitting four clear of teammate and Montreal Canadiens prospect Bryce Pickford (33G-29A in 42 GP), who has been sidelined for the past couple of weeks with an upper-body injury. Meanwhile, 2026 NHL Draft prospect Markus Ruck (13G-59A in 51 GP) chipped in four points (1G-3A) and has been held off the scoresheet only three times in his last 28 games (8G-40A), while also recently being named an alternate captain for Team East ahead of the 2026 WHL Prospects Game presented by Showpass next week. Medicine Hat now heads to Red Deer to face the Rebels before returning home to Co-op Place for a marquee matchup against the No. 1-ranked Everett Silvertips, followed by another meeting with Red Deer.
9. Penticton Vees (WHL): After earning four of a possible six points last week, the Penticton Vees (33-11-4-3) slipped a couple of spots to No. 9 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings, though their overall form remains among the CHL’s best. Penticton opened the week with a setback in Spokane, falling 7-2 to the Chiefs after being outshot 29-23, but responded with a pair of wins over the Tri-City Americans — first a 5-3 victory at home, then a 4-0 road shutout the next night as Andrew Reyelts turned aside 19 shots for his third clean sheet of the season. Since Dec. 1, the Vees have collected points in 23 of their last 26 games (22-3-1-0), suffering only three regulation losses in more than two months, with 20-year-old forward Brady Birnie (19G-38A in 51 GP) leading the way last week with four points (2G-2A) as he pushes toward a third straight 20-goal season. Meanwhile, New York Islanders prospect Jacob Kvasnicka (30G-37A in 49 GP) hit the 30-goal mark, becoming the 10th WHL skater to reach the plateau this season. The Vees now head to Vancouver to meet the Giants at Langley Events Centre before returning home for a long-weekend slate against the Victoria Royals and Prince George Cougars.
10. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): After winning two of three games last week, the Kitchener Rangers (34-12-4-1) remain idle at No. 10 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings, one week after returning to the list for the first time in 11 weeks (since Nov. 11). Kitchener opened with a statement 4-3 win over the defending Memorial Cup champion London Knights, then followed with a 6-2 victory over the rival Guelph Storm back home, with their lone blemish a tight 4-3 road loss to the Niagara IceDogs — only their second regulation defeat since Dec. 13. The Rangers have surged to a 16-2-1-1 mark over their last 20 games, climbing the OHL Western Conference standings and moving within two points of the first-place Flint Firebirds (with a game in hand). Offensively, 20-year-old Dylan Edwards led the way with a team-high eight points across three outings, extending his goal and point streak to four games with multi-point performances in each contest — a run that has produced 10 points (4G) and includes goals in 12 of his last 17 games. Kitchener now looks to hold its place in the Top 10 by welcoming London to Kitchener Memorial Auditorium before a long-weekend road swing to Kingston, No. 6-ranked Ottawa 67’s, and the Peterborough Petes.
