Patrick Tessier is suspended

(LONGUEUIL, Tuesday, April 20, 2004) – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Mr. Maurice Filion, announced a one game suspension to Chicoutimi Sagueneens left-winger, Patrick Tessier.

The penalized incident occurred during the playoff game of Sunday April 18, while the Gatineau Olympiques were hosting the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. During the game, Tessier checked Olympiques’ player Nicolas Ranger from behind.

After reviewing the videotape of the game, the Disciplinary Prefect decided to impose a one game suspension to Patrick Tessier for his gesture.

The suspension takes effect today, Tuesday April 20, 2004.
