Brad Marchand suspended one game
BOUCHERVILLE, Tuesday, April 25, 2006 (QMJHL) The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League disciplinary committee today imposed a one game suspension to Brad Marchand of the Moncton Wildcats.
The suspension follows an incident which occurred in the second game of the Olympiques vs. Wildcats series. In the contest, Marchand was caught giving a blow to the face of an opposing player.
The decision was rendered after viewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
