The three finalists for the 2019 Marcel-Robert Trophy unveiled
BOUCHERVILLE,QC – The three finalists of the Marcel-Robert trophy were unveiled on Tuesday. Each year, at the Golden Puck Awards Gala, this award is presented to the player who has the best combination of academic and sports achievements.
Here are the three finalists for 2019:
- Jérôme Gravel – Victoriaville Tigres
- Rafaël Harvey-Pinard – Rouyn-Noranda Huskies
- Matthew Welsh – Charlottetown Islanders
The three candidates were interviewed by the members of the Marcel-Robert trophy in order to evaluate their on-ice performance with their school success. The committee will determine the recipient.
The selection committee is composed of:
- Sébastien Fyfe – President of the Marcel-Robert committee and General Manager of Alliance Sport-Études and Fondation Sport-Études
- Jonathan Brunelle – Former Marcel-Robert Trophy award winner
- Sébastien Goulet – Play-by-play commentator and columnist, TVA Sports
- Serge Lavoie —General Manager, Fenplast
- Marc-André Element—Head Coach, Concordia University
